A cycle hire station in Pollokshields on Maxwell Drive/St Andrew's Drive, and a painted footway cycle lane leading to a toucan crossing to the right.

The footway cycle lane from Maxwell Drive ends at the toucan crossing on St Andrew's Drive. The person cycling had come from the path from Maxwell Grove.

Car parking on the footway cycle lane in Maxwell Drive. The cycle lane leads to a toucan crossing across St Andrew's Drive and is two-way.

Residential cycle parking needs to be a bit more secure that just stands in the street. It could also be further away from the kerb to allow room for opening car doors.

The cyclist avoids the pavement cycle lane that the driver up ahead is in the process of parking in.

The speed humps are freshly painted, but the cycle lane is looking rather faded.

Cycle parking near to the supermarket entrance.

A ramp has been provided behind the bus stop, in addition to steps, to connect from Thornliebank Road up to Cartcraigs Road. (This does not form part of the cycle route, but could be used for connections to and from it.)

The pedestrian crossing on the Newlands to Silverburn cycle route at Thornliebank Road is out of use. This is quite a busy road, and being next to a roundabout it is not terribly easy to cross the road unaided at this location.

Make it a loop hangar - a lot of bicycles in the area get vandalised
